Love these 6-celled seed starting trays. Can be sterilized in the dishwasher. Easy to move around into different trays.

Another confusing problem is that the East Asian Agastache rugosa is just about impossible to differentiate from the North American Agastache foeniculum. Tastes the same. Hmm.
Another plant species in the mint family is Agastache rugosa, also used in East Asian herbal medicine.
Agastache rugosa is called HuoXiang.
Pogostemon cablin is called GuangHuoXiang and often abbreviated to HuoXiang.
You can see the problem here. Latin names are crucial.
This is patchouli. Well one of them.
There are 80-93 species of Pogostemon. This is P. cablin, which was introduced into China for perfume and medicinal products. It's been cultivated for centuries and has now evolved diverse morphological characteristics.

“The city’s transition away from the car, tho fantastically chaotic, has become a global role model. Under mayor @annehidalgo.bsky.social, Paris was ‘the most influential city in the world’ says Canadian urbanist Brent Toderian. Hidalgo, stepping down after 12 yrs, exulted: ‘The bike beat the car.’”
The mission had a live YouTube channel. It’ll be a good one to have on tomorrow.

Irises
Easter Sunday Irises in the front garden on the sunny side of the house.
Okay, not exactly sunny today, but I did go out at least long enough to take this photo! 🌱 #FlowerReport
This wildflower has a 2.5 to 12 inch tall flowering stem. At the apex is a loose umbel of 1-7 downward pointing flowers with magenta, reflexed sepals (Lesica 2022). Several purplish anthers with wrinkled yellow bases surround a single style. This species first described by Edward Lee Greene (August 20, 1843–November 10, 1915). "He was an American botanist known for his numerous publications including the two-part Landmarks of Botanical History and the describing of over 4,400 species of plants in the American West. By the end of his career Greene had named over 4,400 new species of plants, published 565 original papers, and amassed a library of over 4,000 volumes, some of which have no duplicates in North America" (Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edward_Lee_Greene).

Bloodroot seed (Sanguinaria canadensis).
It's pussy willow time! I don't know who the photographer is and some of the names seem questionable, but what a brilliant depiction of the different varieties. Each would have had unique properties for basket weavers.
You would think it's not hard to grow licorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra). Well...it is for me for some reason.
So. Try try again. I've also got G. uralensis started. Maybe that species will do better. Although, the map kind of explains why.

The second benefit is pulling up the whole strip and planting in the garden. It worked last year and I'm going to do it again.
Actual planting lettuce in the garden is still two months off.
So..let's try this...
Obviously, I believe in climate warming.
