I have to ask, for my fellow 90s kids. What CD did you get with your first CD player & what was the first you bought after that?
I got the "Batman Forever" soundtrack from my parents & then I bought "I Wish" by Skee-Lo from a cousin when we went up to Virginia to visit family that Christmas lol.
I know it wouldn't have been a set I could finish, but I'll see if I have any of them still. I do remember seeing the set though back in the day. Man I miss card sets like those lol.
Oh man I remember this set! I kinda wonder if I have any of them left with the rest of my card sets lol???

Ironically we also brought up this movie (& Prey) during our "The Big Question" segment on this weeks podcast as movies or TV shows we would like to see modern "movie tie-in" games for. I thought they both would make GREAT 3D Metroidvania style games given their stories & implied mechanics lol.
I liked a look at their society outside of just the "monster hunter" style setup. Kinda makes the ones we see on Earth from time to time might be more "zealous" than others with their habits & styles...& we get a peak at the most "societal" ones starting in Predator 2.
And as a visual aid for this comment...this is an in game capture from the Switch 2 version from the opening. This game is absolutely amazing on the Switch 2 & still feels like a game that shouldn't be possible on portable hardware looking like this lol. Looks even better actually playing it!
It still absolutely KILLS me that in order to keep getting all of the physical Gears of War games...I had to buy a copy on PS5 as Xbox themselves didn't even get one. It's ridiculous on so many levels lol. They just don't care for their own systems anymore.
For those in the back that don't seem to understand what #Nintendo is doing...
The cost of PHYSICAL games is staying the same as it was...the cost of DIGITAL titles is dropping by $10.
This makes it more of a fair deal for those willing to not own a physical copy honestly.
As a collector it has made sense for YEARS (as we have talked about on the show before) that publishers should charge less for a digital title as there is less overhead for production, shipping, etc. Physical costing a (reasonable) extra is fine with me as long as I get a PROPER physical cart.
People on here debating on if #Nintendo is doing well or not...really? They aren't laying off people by the thousands or closing studios.
They're doing fine.
I can't point out enough how absolutely depressing...& absolutely TRUE...this statement is about the modern world of videogame development.
Hey folks...I've been asked to digitize some old #cassettetapes by a family member & would love some suggestions on a tape player to purchase. I don't mind paying a bit for it, I just want clean quality if possible as this will likely just be integrated into the rest of my audio setup also.
Well this sucks but sadly was expected. This wasn't a perfect season, but too many forget that EVERY Star Trek show takes a season or 2 to get properly on their feet. People demand perfection right away & also feel that anything not made for THEM shouldn't exist (yet someone claim to be ST fans?)

Not gonna lie...I thought she was pointing a bazooka at a cat for a moment there lol. :) Was just thinking "what did this cat do NOW?"...and that is dangerously close to be using that lol.
Yeah...that's a big no from me. I don't want AI anywhere NEAR my games. Be it development, art, music, features, etc. If you add it, I will pass on it. @square-enix-games.com
I am SO damn happy to have gotten 5 weeks of travel out of the way BEFORE this whole nightmare situation! Sadly no idea how long it will continue so I will likely eventually get stuck in it though.
Heading to see #Hoppers after work with my wife & daughter because honestly...this movie looks absolutely hilarious to us lol. :D One of the now rarer times we get out to see a movie in theaters (next will likely be Super Mario Galaxy).
This is how #DLSS5 feels to me. Taking something good & just messing it all up with what you "think" is "better"...but we can all see the mess it really is with unnatural shine, no artistic taste, & looks like it's made up of a bunch of fake parts painted on.

While #NVIDIA is (rightfully) catching hell for #DLSS5... #Nintendo just quietly dropped a free #Switch2 update that lets you now play Switch 1 titles "Boosted" (dock mode) while in handheld mode on Switch 2! Works BEAUTIFULLY! (& you can toggle it on & off while playing) #handheldmodeboost
If #Switch2 ends up not supporting #DLSS5 at all...I will see that as a technical advantage over possible next gen hardware lol.

#DLSS5 to me is like visiting the Louvre to see the art, but being forced to wear AI glasses that let others decide how the pictures should look to you instead of the artists actual work & intent. Old tech would just add better lights or a new frame...this makes you see what THEY want you to see.
