Since Discord seems to be taking a good faith effort toward keeping facial scans private, I'm not ready to boycott them at this time.

This tells me Discord wants a solution where the facial scan doesn't leave the user's machine, and therefore won't be saved on any central database.

Which, if AgeID becomes law, is the best we can hope from any social app.

People deserve redemption if and only if they are making a good-faith effort to admit their faults and become better people.

A lot of people currently don't deserve redemption... but no one is fully BEYOND redemption.
