just my two cents, but I don't believe there's anything wrong with tracing over a photograph now and then (it should be your picture) as long as you aren't using it as a crutch. It should simply be a tool, not your entire process.

I'm so grateful to people doing stuff like this. The tech world needs a lot of correcting and rebuilding from the decades of horrendous practices
