Well, see, I have a humorous scene where my main character is sprayed with mace by his sidekick.

It's a humorous scene, but the point of it is really to let the reader know she's carrying mace with her, which will be important later.

I've spent a few days now working on this scene for my WIP A, trying to get it just right.
