The Ukrainian Presidential Office has announced that there will be a great deal of bilateral work with Germany in the coming month. POLITICO’s Berlin Playbook already reported two weeks ago that government-level consultations between Ukraine and Germany were in the pipeline, with meetings in Berlin.

One of the aims is to enable Ukrainians to operate, maintain and rapidly restore systems to operational readiness independently.

The German arms manufacturer HENSOLDT – which, among other things, supplies the TRML-4D air surveillance radars which are integrated into the IRIS-T SLM fire units – has opened an innovation hub in #Ukraine.

According to Kyiv's Mayor Vitali Klitschko, the German cities Leipzig and Hamburg have donated a total of 72 generators (60 kW to 300 kW) to the Ukrainian capital since January 2026 as emergency winter aid, with the final batch of power generators arriving yesterday.
