I do want to make Avalonia a first-citizen for linux but again that's not up to me. I'm just going to put repos up, whether they accept it or not is just, eh. Out of my control. Either way, I don't see any harm releasing the code. I don't plan to maintain a separate avalonia,but I do plan to use it.

It is still a very, insane, large undertaking regardless if you are using AI or not. I'm looking at IME protocol like "this is going to take a while to test thoroughly and I don't think I can do this yet". EGL implementation is done, vulkan is still around the corner.
