Creeping where the shadows play
Pretty Periwinkle, brightens the way.
Among the grass and morning dew
Their petals, a royal purple blue.
A shining star,a trailing vine
Making an ordinary garden shine.

Had to take a break and refocus on the pure and lovely.

I don't normally do this but I feel it's appropriate today.

Sending best wishes to each and every one of you here on Bluesky. I hope you have a lovely afternoon.

In the damp woods, I saw such a sight,
Tiny rosettes, of purple, pink and white.

Nuttall's Toothwort starts to rise,
Lifting blossoms to the skies.

Four petals, open like tiny wings,
Tells us the ground is awake;
it is Spring.

Crimson petals, soft and bright,
Dance in the early morning light.
Sharp thorns hide beneath the sheen,
Sturdy, untamed, and serene.

Weathered timber, silver-grey,
Holds the boundary of the day.
A fiery bloom on rustic wood,
Holding steady, growing good.

A silent crown of silver white,
Against the blue, a stunning sight.
With icy peaks that pierce the sky,
Where eagles soar and clouds drift by.

A velvet green upon the gray,
Where ancient giants passed away.
Softly cloaked in shaded light,
The stump becomes a forest site.
New life creeping, damp and deep,
While the old roots slowly sleep.

Good morning, looks like good weather for the forest. Rainy days!

Silence so deep only my soul can hear
Says now the past is what I fear
The future isn't what it used to be
Only today is all that's promised me

Flow on, river of time
Wash away the pain and heal my mind
Flow on, river of time
Carry me away and leave it all far behind

Upon the lake's dark mirror, the moon cast it's light,
A fire's embrace, warmth against the chill of night.
The embers glow, with heartbeats warm and low,
Reflecting dreams on the water soft and slow.

A crescent smile, a crayon's yellow hue,
Tucked tightly in the corner, barely peeking through.
With slanting rays, that speak of simple light,
The corner-sun, hung in childish delight.

Good afternoon my friends. How are you doing?

It is especially nice on a hot summers day as it feels like an air conditioner blowing across you. It's normally 5-10 degrees cooler.

Sorry, oops! It dumps into the North fork of the middle fork of the Willamette River.

This is Huckleberry Creek before it dumps into the Willamette River, as seen from the Aufderheide Drive. Also known as Road 19 (a segment of the West Cascades National Scenic Byway.)
In 2025, this road was officially recognized as one of Oregon's Scenic Bikeways. I hope you find this info helpful.

Good afternoon my Bluesky friends. I sure hope your day is going well. It's been a wet Spring day here in the Cascades. A good day for the forest, flowers, rivers and falls.

A rusted spine of yellow steel,
Across the river, silent, still.
The old bridge, once bright and bold,
Now wears the patina of time and cold.
With creaking beams and girders gray,
It watches the years all slip away.
An iron sentinel, firm and true,
Holding memories of the passing view.

A few slow steps above the rush,
Suspended in the evening hush.
Between two shores, the waters gleam,
A quiet walk across a dream.
Steel and sky begin to blend,
Where one side starts, the others end.

May your evening be peaceful and calm. Good night bluesky.

Soft white cotton, drifting high,
Across a bright and breezy sky.
Like fluffy sheep that graze on blue,
Spring brings them back to me and you.

Good morning beautiful people of bluesky. May your Monday be magical.

Dancing Daffodils

Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
A golden crowd in the spring breeze.
Fluttering, tossing, dancing fast,
A cheerful sight that's built to last.
With sunny heads and stems of green,
The gayest dance that I have seen.

A sunny Sunday, I wish for you all. #sundayfunday
