Today we reflect on the story of the disciples on the road to Emmaus. Like the Infancy Narrative, it contains several of Luke’s key themes telling of both physical and emotional journeys and a meal which brings about knowing.

Second Octave of Easter
At the tomb of the risen Savior, Mary Magdalen was made an apostle. At Mass the Lord comes to us as He came to Mary at the tomb. When we have recognized Him and received Him in Holy Communion, we also become apostles. Our mission is to love our neighbor.
