This is my local hill. If you ever see photos from my garden, this is the chap you’ll be seeing.
Lovely! That’s my local. Not made it up this year yet. Was it busy?
Thanks. Away looking after, Mum. No camera or internet, except mobile. Nice and sunny though. Cloudy with blue is always preferable to me!

Did u know? If you have a cattle grid close to you, install a ramp inside each subterranean compartment so that small souls like hedgehogs, mice & amphibians can escape if they inadvertently fall in. We made some simple brick steps in ours. Works perfectly. 🙏🌍🦎🐸🐀🦔
A still loch surrounded by mountains.
Loch Choire nan Arr - 07:30 yesterday morning.
Morning, Gary. Enjoying the moody b&w.
Morning! Next on my week of moody Dartmoor shots is a long exposure shot of ancient Scorhill stone circle - one of my fave Dartmoor spots as it's one of the few places where you can turn through 360 degrees and see no obvious signs of humans!

A cloudy sunset sky in dark orange at the top graduating to a lighter orange then lemon then golden yellow. Top left is a silhouette of a wire with a swallow sat on it.
Good morning. Thanks for all the reposts yesterday and ‘Hi’ to new followers.
Last day away still sharing phone snaps for #photooftheday This is a snap from my kitchen window at our old house. Spot the swallow on the wire. They should be back soon!
Have a great day.

Did u know? I get asked a lot, when do you let the ladybirds that have been overwintering in your house, back outside? The answer is when it's been warm enough on consecutive days for them to be able to move around freely to find food, find mates, then find shelter again if the weather temps dip. 🌱🌿🇬🇧🌱🌍🐞🪲
Snow topped mountains.
The Cuillin Hills on the Isle of Skye as seen from Kishorn yesterday. (+/- 20 miles distant).
Morning, Gary. Great photo.
Good morning! I managed to get out for a grey day Dartmoor shoot last week, so this week we're going all moody B&W! Starting with a lone hawthorn tree by a stream near to the stones of Scorhill Circle. Hope you like it!

Forgot to say ‘have a nice day’ I hope you do!
A moody sky with cloud and blue and a rainbow half arc centre across a road. Field with ripe yellow crop left, trees right.

That’s good. The wind woke me too, but it wasn’t as bad as the 90moh winds the year before!

I'm more familiar with physics than philosophy, although my A level were a very long time ago. Aiming for some intentional ambiguity and playful exploration of ideas of spectra and dual nature.
Animate Nature Apart from our own efforts to know their essences, a silver birch itself, its ministrations at the lake. Or the dove’s cooing locutions, humble beatitudes, and ablutions, performed with fullest heart.
A small poem on animate nature as #ThingInItself, unfettered by our perceptions and without the schema we later attach to it. Tenderness could exist even without our human conception of it. A child's sense of wonder may come closer to reality.

#PromptCombo This is my #ThingInItself for Monday
Have a great day wherever you are and whatever you are doing.
Just brilliant!
Happy #PromptCombo Monday! This week's theme is #ThingInItself (or #DingAnSich if you prefer the German). This is a WIP from something really cool I'm working on with @benedictan.bsky.social 👀
It's a short window this week – you've got until end of Wednesday only to join in as after I'll be away 🙏🏼
Blue sky with pink and grey cloud over a slither of bright blue sea. A golf course with road through, left. In the distance a green metal building.
Good morning. Away for a few days with no internet, so my #photooftheday will be limited to what’s on my phone. This is Dornoch golf course from the new clubhouse with the new (indie) lifeboat station - and the old shed - in the distance.
Have a good day.
