Everything is finally ready. There is enough paper, I've got envelopes, and I've even ordered "do not bend" stickers. I'm switching my shop over to real prints, and I'm celebrating this with a 2-for-1 deal.

A large circular window with a dark grid pattern of small panes, set into an old, textured brick wall. A dramatic beam of warm, golden sunlight pours through the bottom of the window, brightly illuminating a section of the bricks while the rest of the room remains in deep shadow.
The sun setting behind distant hills, casting a deep orange glow across a calm sea, with gentle ripples reflecting the fading light under a clear sky.
I reedited this older photo. Much happier with the result!

A moody black-and-white view of a dense forest, with layered treetops fading into mist and soft light, creating a quiet, atmospheric landscape.
Just a dusting of icing on the trees.

We had quite a nice light this morning!

A minimalist black-and-white scene where two oval wall vents and a small bent pipe form a face-like arrangement on a smooth white surface, creating an abstract, slightly playful composition. Maybe it's a bird?
But if you are able to take your time and you are looking for a great lens that doesn't cost an arm and a leg, this lens is a very good choice!
The aperture ring is great. Although it could be a bit more stiff. But this lens doesn't like fast paced environments. It's just a bit too slow for that. Also with this lens, the AF might hunt from time to time, which resulted in a few missed shots today.
First and last time taking the #Meike 85mm/1.8 Pro to the city. Don't get me wrong, I really like that lens. I had one of the first iterations of Meike's #85mm AF lenses for Canon a while back. So I kind of knew what to expect from this new version. It's sharp, well build, and I like the handling.
Frost-covered teasel plants standing in a field at sunset, their spiky silhouettes backlit by warm golden light against a soft, pastel sky.
I'm so happy to see wild teasel somewhere. Not only does it look like something from a different planet. No, it's also a medicinal plant.

A small crested songbird perched on a thin twig, its gray and beige feathers softly lit against a smooth, blurred background, showing fine details in the plumage and a calm, but alert posture.
The crested tits have become regulars around here.

Panoramic winter landscape showing a small village with snow-covered houses clustered on gently rolling terrain, bordered by a frost-covered forest and hills under a muted gray sky with a soft pink glow near the horizon.
Did this just for fun. Have a great weekend everyone!
New reading material! 📖
Is it a must-have? Absolutely not for everyone. Check out the full breakdown on the blog to see why the flash situation might be a dealbreaker for some, but a win for others.

The verdict? It’s not about more megapixels (spoiler: it’s the same sensor!). It’s about the things that actually make a difference when you’re out in the field, like finally saying goodbye to "cable salad" thanks to USB-C and not having to worry when the German weather becomes "interesting".
5 months with the OM-5 II: Was it worth the trade-in? 📸
A while back, I asked if the E-M5 III was still a good choice for 2025. Well, I ended up trading mine in for the newer OM-5 II to find out if the grass is actually greener. 🧵

Artistic watercolor banner for NoAI Wallart featuring a fox, deer, squirrel, and a camera amidst a misty forest and gold accents.
The Etsy shop got a new logo and banner today. I'd love to read your opinion about them!

Frost-covered teasel seed heads standing in a snowy field, softly lit by warm winter light with circular bokeh highlights in the blurred background.
Up on the plateau it can be quite rough. But the sunsets are awesome.

Dramatic winter sunset with glowing orange and pink clouds breaking through dark storm clouds above a snow-covered field and a line of bare trees on the horizon.
Great scenery! 😂
We had quite a nice sunset today!

Testing some prints for the switch away from digital downloads. This might be a candidate for the bigger birds section I'm planning.

A glowing streetlamp silhouetted against a twilight sky, with a small crescent moon visible nearby and a flock of birds scattered beneath the lamp above bare tree branches.
Sunset on a Christmas evening

Out-of-focus Christmas tree lights forming soft, heart-shaped bokeh, glowing in warm pink and white tones against a dark, blurred background.
In the quiet moments of the season, I hope you find deep satisfaction and lasting joy. May your holiday be as bright and full of love as these lights.
