Doubled active users from last week. The leaderboard is heating up. Quiet Toilet 521 is coming for the crown.
A combination of things, its xp primarily but also tracks streaks. Its ultimately sorted by xp per week though. Thinking about adding a king of the hill or territory expansion type thing for further retention and gamification.
The lesson: watch where your users actually click first. Your analytics will tell you where you're losing them — then redesign around that.
Sounds small but it completely changes the flow. Instead of navigating tabs to set up a session, you tap one button, pick your settings, and go.
Quiz: choose domains, question count, mode.
Flashcards: choose due/new/hard, set session length.
One tap to configure, one tap to start.
Was losing users before they even started studying. They'd land on the study page, see the official exam guide link, click it, and leave.
Fixed it. The two things that matter — Start Quiz and Review Flashcards — are now hero buttons that open configuration modals.
