Black-and-white photograph of a well-groomed horse standing in a stable courtyard with arched buildings in the background. A woman wearing a cloche hat and long coat gently places her hands on the horse’s side, while a man in a suit, bow tie, and round glasses stands nearby holding a hat and the horse’s reins. The scene appears formal and staged, likely from the early 20th century.

Today we celebrate W.K. Kellogg, whose passion for Arabian horses helped shape Cal Poly Pomona.

His Pomona ranch, later gifted to California, became the university’s foundation.
