I've got the sock-wrapping down to an art... all other knitted gifts mostly just get tossed in a bag! πŸ˜‚

What do you think? Too extra? Or just extra enough?

A partially completed hand-knit sock in progress on wooden sock blockers with a honeycomb and bee design. The sock features a diagonal textured stitch pattern with a ribbed cuff, knit in a light gray speckled yarn with pink, green, and purple flecks. A ball of matching yarn sits beside it, and a metal knitting needle is inserted into the stitches. Pattern: Prairie Spring by Samantha Myhre. Yarn: Ex Libris Fibers.

I know I’m late to the party, but I just discovered Bridgerton, and I'm completely obsessed. These socks are my binge-watching companion: it's very polite knitting and the yarn has silk in it, so they feel appropriately fancy. I just know I'll be the envy of the ton. 🧢 🧦

It's colorwork week on #ShowMeYourKnits so I thought I'd share my Winterfell Socks plus the interview I did with the designer, KnittyMelissa, and her pro tips for knitting stranded colorwork socks. 🧢🧦

Thanks! Honestly, I knitted this early in my knitting journey and every time I look back on it, I give past me a little pat on the back for a job well done!

Ooh! Those are very pretty! I always stall on my colorwork projects too, lol, so no judgment.

A hand holds a small, tangled nub of pink yarn in the foreground, while a partially knitted piece in the same pink yarn rests on circular needles in the background. Stitch markers line the edge of the knitting, and the fabric is a thick double knit.

Not only did this double-knit hem take forever to knit, it also ate up a whole ball of yarn! Glad to have this part of the project behind me. The rest of the top should be a relatively easy knit. πŸ˜‰ 🧢

Thanks! I loved the yoke pattern, but I wasn't sure I'd like the fit of the i-cord neckline, but it turned out to be quite flattering.

Speaking of imperfections that no one will ever see on Zoom... I used two different dye lots and it created a subtle stripe in the middle of the sweater. #KnittingFail 🧢

A beautiful and incredibly talented woman with curly red hair smiles while modeling a finished short-sleeve knitted tee in a light beige color. The sweater features a cabled yoke detail that looks almost like wheat stalks and a simple stockinette body with i-cord finishes at the neck, sleeve, and hems. I'm in my kitchen with wood floors and dark cabinets and really should find a nicer setting for my photoshoot, bit this will do for now. Pattern: Raunioiset Sweater by Wallebeck Wool. Yarn: Knit Picks Woolen Cotton.

I hereby interrupt your #KnitSky scroll to present the perfect WFH garment: The beautiful yoke detail will impress everyone on Zoom, and no one will ever see the hem I had to reknit twice and still don’t totally love. πŸ˜‰ 🧢

Thank you! His shell is removable too, which is so cute. At one point the designer released patterns for other shells so he could dress up!
