This is why I support HB 229, to move Alaska to permanent standard time. We need to stop screwing everyone over and damaging our own health to cater to those who want to be more in sync with the East Coast. If it's that much of a problem, just move already.

Alaskans want to stop changing their clocks. But what time should it be? Large majorities of Alaskans tell pollsters they're sick of changing their clocks twice a year. Where they should set them is a harder question.

The US is a country that never really sleeps. No matter what time it is, there will be someone doing business while you're asleep (and possibly wondering why you're not responding.) Maybe it's time to stop worrying about "falling behind" the rest of the country?
