This is a very good thread about public defense.

Not just lazy prosecutors. Police sometimes lie, fudge the truth, even manufacture false evidence--especially if they're certain the defendant is guilty but know their case is weak. And police caught lying face relatively little consequence.

Today I expected to finish writing a short story, slap a title on it, & submit it for publication.

I'm telling myself I should still do it despite our international existential crisis. I should do it--not because the story is important, but because being creative is still important.

I started watching 'Supernatural' about a month ago. I'm only a season and a half into the series, but last night it came to me that the show is basically 'Gilmore Girls' with monsters. It's sort of like Lorelei and Rory, but with more gore.
