With that done & seeing the Ultra Moon Recon Squad, it's tome to progress SM 2 the next checkpoint b4 switching back to the ultra games

A neat change in the ultra games being the teacher using a starter instead of a Magnemite. It felt better because if u don't have a fire of fighting... you can't get passed it.
Besides that Selene Rowlet evolve into Draxtrix.

The trial of Verdant Cave has made me remember how different it was Compare to gyms in other regions.
After dealing with Team Skull & the Totem Pokemon, the trial is complete withoutuch issues thx in having a fighting type.

Moving through Route 2 towards the 1st trial site, upon finding a Berry Pile that is of huge amount I caught Elio's 3rd team member.
Crabrawler who once it evolves it becomes the mon he used by his Manga counterpart.

Interesting that in the OG you confront Team Skull in the Marine area while here you face close to the Malasada store.
As for the Battle Trainer theme, since in the ultra games it's more pop & rock, they gave the classic battle theme to the Trial Captains.
Doing my first playthrough ever of Pokemon Moon. And damn, it's so good! Lovely region, good story, some super solid mechanics and just feelgood vibes

The inclusion of the Recon Squad in the Ultra game is quite fascinating.
Their involvement into the main story does shift the event that the OG story gets diverged.
Also the inclusion of Alolan Eggxecutor I'm the Melemele festival which in the OG dosent have.

I like how they went an extra mile to add some new details in the ultra games like shadows in the environment & some of the background stuff.

Interesting to not that in the OG, the route 1 part of where you head to see the kahuna to get the starters was a nonral road but the added a patch here in the ultra games & whwre kukui, being the pkm professor bestows you the starters instead of the kahuna.

In the case for the startes in the ultra games I did get both Elio's Male Popplio & Selene's Male Rowlet.
Odd to why popplio isn't a female due to its final evolution looks, but I'll follow the source material & the mons they used from various sources to make the team of 6

Made progress & reach the 1st checkpoint. Now to catch up with the ultra games.
It's interesting how the opening sequence of Lillies escape was changed. They cut some of the parts from the og into but added the recon squad to the mix.

Back them seeing this new form + the new stuff that SM has to offer was a good warm up b4 obtaining the real deal
