For #alaac24 we made sure to stop by the San Diego Central Library. The space was massive! There were 9 stories to explore. Not only does this library offer the typical library fare, but there were medical equipment, pay phones, & an art gallery. Lastly, the tour in special collections was amazing!

Loved every moment of signing books and presenting at #ALAAC24! I got to see/meet so many friends, critique partners, my agent…and my daughter got to go with me. Absolute heaven. 💛

Test, stay safe, be well Sondra, I saw you at events the two days after the Friday Printz. You were unmasked both Saturday and Sunday. You came up to talk to me Sunday unmasked. Your blog post from Saturday no mask. Honestly, that seems irresponsible. From Sondra’s blog post: room and tell asleep - but woke up in time to walk 2 miles along the bay to go to a Macmillan Happy Hour on a boat that's part of the San Diego Maritime Museum. There were lots of authors there, and it was an opportunity to talk with some, but I was feeling self-conscious about being Covid positive, so I hung out on the deck, where it was breezy, and talked with my fellow Morris committee members who were there, finally meeting them in person after all our Zoom meetings.
