Bezos Earth Fund’dan okyanuslara kritik destek: 24.5 milyon dolarlık fonla ‘sınır ötesi deniz biyosferi’ kuruluyor Jeff Bezos’un kurduğu ve dünyanın en büyük iklim hayırseverlik kuruluşu olarak bilinen Bezos Earth Fund, küresel deniz koruma çabalarına devasa bir katkı sağladı. Kuruluş, Pasifik Okyanusu’nun doğu kıyısında yer alan ve türlerin göç yolları için hayati öneme sahip kıyı ekosistemlerini koruma altına almak amacıyla toplam 24.5 milyon dolarlık bir hibe paketini devreye soktu. Bu finansal destek, Güney Amerika’daki dört ülkeyi kapsayan bir alanda, gezegenin ilk 'sınır ötesi deniz biyosfer rezervi'nin oluşturulması ve mevcut koruma alanlarının güçlendirilmesi hedefinin temelini oluşturdu.
