#DYK? The legendary dance scene in THE BREAKFAST CLUB was only supposed to be Molly Ringwalddancing. Ringwald was shy about not being a great dancer so the whole cast decided to make it a group scene. Collectively, they agreed Ally Sheedy was the best dancer of the group.

#DYK? The "library" in THE BREAKFAST CLUB was actually a transformed gymnasium. The books were on loan from the Chicago Public Library and were brought via van to the set (In Chicago's north suburbs)

#DYK? The Breakfast Club was filmed at Maine North High School at 9511 Harrison St in the N Chicago suburb of Des Plaines. The high school had been closed down three years before and the "library" in the movie was actually the gym. The cast used the former locker rooms to dress.
