Autophosphorylation of oncoprotein TEL-ABL in myeloid and lymphoid cells confers resistance to the allosteric ABL inhibitor asciminib Oligomerization renders the oncoprotein TEL-ABL insensitive to the ABL inhibitor asciminib.

Congrats to Serena Muratcioglu from the Kuriyan Lab! They found that TEL-ABL fusion proteins drive resistance to asciminib by forming oligomers. These insights into fusion oncoproteins and drug-resistant leukemias.
