Inspired by Disney's Snow White, it is China's 1st Animated Feature Film & Oh BOY, does it show! Not bad though, just clearly Dated & the 1st of it's Kind...
It's a adaptation of Ch 59-61, Where our Buddhist Monk (Tang Sanzang) & his 3 Yaoguai Disciples (Sun Wukong, Zhu Bajie/Wuneng & Sha Wujing) encounter Huoyan Shan (火焰山 - lit. "Flaming Mountains") & to put out massive fire, Wukong has to confront his 2 Sisters-in-Law & his Ex-Sworn Brother:
[1] 鐵扇公主 = Tieshan Gongzhu
(Again, lit. "Iron-Fan Princess")
[2] 玉面狐狸 = Yumian Huli
(lit. "Jade-Faced Fox")
[3] 牛魔王 = Niu Mowang
(lit. "Bull Monster-King")
This Donghua Film also helped inspire & influence Osamu Tezuka's Love of Animation & Venture into the Medium of Manga.
Tezuka would even make his own Saiyūki (西遊記 - lit. "West-Journey-Record" & Japanese for "Xiyouji") Manga that ran between 1952-59 called, Boku no Son Gokū (ぼくの孫悟空 - lit.
