Council approves land donation, downtown grant application steps and zoning measures; calls May 2 elections At its Jan. 20 meeting the Commerce City Council approved a land donation from Hunt Regional Hospital, authorized RFP/RFQ work for a possible $1 million downtown revitalization grant, adopted an ordinance calling May 2, 2026 elections, approved a conditional use permit for a downtown bar and rezoned two parcels to a planned development district.

The Commerce City Council just greenlit exciting developments, including a land donation for a future downtown revitalization and plans for a $1 million grant!
