Spain and Parts of Portugal and France Hit by Widespread Power Outage The blackout hit critical infrastructure like airports and caused transportation disruptions across Spain and Portugal. The cause of the outage was unclear.

“The #interruption was #DueToAProblem in the #EuropeanElectricityGrid,” E-Redes, the #NationalEnergySupplier of #Portugal, said in a statement. In addition to Portugal, it said, “The blackout also affected regions of #Spain and #France, due to faults in very #HighVoltageLines.”
