A pasque flower has a purple blossom and hairs. These protect the flower from the cold, which is why it blooms so early in the year. In this photo, you can see two of these sticking out from the unsharp bottom and reaching into the centre in an arc-like shape. There are more pasque flowers in the back, unsharp. The whole photo has a very smooth/blurry background in a green-blueish hue, so that the main flowers are very prominently emphasized in the photo.
