Green-tinged edited photo of the famous ornate, Double Helix spiral staircase in the Vatican Museum building. The photo shows three of its tiers. People are visible walking down it, looking as tiny as ants on the different levels. The railings are ornate bronze with scrollwork and engravings. The staircase walls are dark green marble streaked with lighter and blacker vertical markings.

An Anna's hummingbird flying right by the white molding at the top of a light olive house. The bird is facing toward the house and you can see one wing almost frozen with the beak directly above it. The bird looks like it's wearing a green sequin jacket with fluffy white bloomers and a taupe belly. The roof line is angled from higher up in the left corner to just below the middle of the right side. There's a utility wire angled the opposite direction from the top right corner to just above the middle of the left side. The sky is bright blue.

The focus is on the largest grouping on the right two thirds of the image, but other drooping blooms dangle in both the foreground and background. Other leaf debris and sticks from the previous year lie beneath the new growth. It was shot with a macro lens, however I probably wasn't really close enough to make this truly a macro photo. Tech: NIKON D610 Nikon 105mm f/2.8 Exposure: 1/400s ISO: 320 Aperture: f/5 Editing done using Affinity. In addition to usual edits, a mask was added diagonally from the top left corner and the bottom right corner where the image is out of focus. The masks were used to lower the exposure slightly further than the main subject.

A road that is colorful from the graffiti everywhere has cracks and in some cases has risen about a foot above other areas. Weeds now often grow up from the cracks.
Along Graffiti Highway the pavement has occasionally cracked and buckled from the heat of the coal fire below. It is believed the fire has mostly stopped now, but the belief that these are #openings to hell persist (not true)

Photo of rocks on the forest floor covered with several types of mosses. the one closest has delicate, branching, and spreading mats that cascade down the face of the rock typical of Feather mosses. The denser, tufted clumps visible on the top and right of the rock resemble Broom mosses dark green, cushion-like mounds. Some of the brighter green, somewhat irregular mats, particularly toward the bottom are Grass mosses. Some dead leaves are visible on the ground.
The rocks are beyond slow, beyond strong, and yet yielding to a soft green breath as powerful as a glacier, the mosses wearing away their surfaces, grain by grain bringing them slowly back to sand. 💚
