It’s not until they find Wei Ying at the Wen supervisory station that Lan Wangji knows for sure that Jiang Wanyin has no idea what Wei Ying has done and how he has started down this dark path because the righteous one is no longer open to him. But he doesn’t seem to care too much, since it allows him the revenge he seeks, and Wei Ying is not open to hearing about how this will ultimately be his ruin, and Lan Wangji finds himself outside the building throwing up white petals speckled with blood as Wen Chao is torn to pieces.
