Quagga mussels confirmed in Black Bay, marking latest invasive spread on Lake Superior | CBC News Quagga mussels have been confirmed in the north end of Black Bay on Lake Superior, raising concerns about long-term ecological impacts.

Invasive quagga mussels found along the North Shore of Lake Superior. Quagga and zebra mussels filter phytoplankton, reducing food for native species such as whitefish and lake trout.
