lore Over seven hundred years ago, the Ibanxara, a nomadic tribe, roamed the desert of Zinan. Born to the shifting sands, the Iban believed that the Fates would eventually lead them to the fertile plains. But only if their faith was strong. It was this faith that led them through the infinite nothing to oases full of food, water and shade. They would appear like a mirage and vanish when they wake. This is how the Iban lived for centuries. Scholars of Esterfah today call it the oldest account of magic we know of. The Ibanxara, on the other hand, called it ‘the fate’s favour’...
The Ibanxara (pronounced Iban-Hara) are one of my favourite bits of Into The Vortex lore thus far. Who knows where this is going... All we have is faith.
