Actress and schoolteacher Margaret Hamilton (right), best known for her role as Elmira Gulch/the Wicket Witch of the West in the 1939 classic "The Wizard of Oz," appears with Fred Rogers on a 1975 episode of "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood."
[Yes, I know in most places it should be Rogers's, as the "s's" construction is standardized with the exception of Greek names or Biblical names like Xerxes, Moses, or Jesus. But (a)this is how the show's title was spelled, and (b)if anyone in modern times has earned the orthographic privilege reserved for ancient kings and Christian saints, it's Fred Rogers.]
I'm just glad to see #JackGleeson acting again. He's a huge talent & a lovely, kind young man…who did his #GameOfThrones job to such perfection that he was despised for it, to a depth not seen since Margaret Hamilton had to go on Mr. Rogers to cure a generation of its Wicked-Witch fear of her.
