Ensuring everyone can afford to buy food is hardly ‘radical’? Most of this ‘group’ voted for 2 child benefit cap, removal of WFA and for disability benefit cuts, so their concern is about losing their seats at next GE, not being ashamed of the moral deficit within Labour 😩

Because that would require socialist principles; accepting that poor people are not shirkers or benefit cheats, recognising everyone deserves a decent life. Most Labour MPs don’t feel any solidarity with the working class poor, they only care about staying on the gravy train.

I was a Labour member and voter since 1974, bar the Blair years after Iraq WMD fiasco. Joined again 2008, CLP Secretary 2017-2022 and Parliamentary candidate in 2019. Left in 2022 when comrades were expelled for spurious reasons. #NeverVotingLabourAgain

I agree. Doesn’t it say a lot about Starmer and his total lack of socialist principles. He and his Thatcherite ‘no such thing as society’ MPs and advisers simply have no understanding of the strength of working class solidarity, especially with vulnerable and oppressed people.
