A coot has brought up a large amount of weed from the bottom of the pond, which are hanging from its mouth. A second coot seems interested and is approaching from the rear.

As Hurricane Erin passes by, whipped up surf pounds the beach as non-plussed birds preen and rest. There is a Great Black-backed Gull on the left. The remaining silhouetted birds seem to be American Herring Gulls. There are two Common Eider on the lower right.

There were 3 #GreenHeron at the pond at South Shore Beach this morning. I watched this one pull out fish at the rate of one every 8 to 10 seconds. Most of that time was spent swallowing. I only saw one twofer but it really slowed down the process. #bird #birdphotography #littlecompton
