These initiatives, which were recommended by the Transmission Expansion Advisory Committee (TEAC), focus on addressing system limitations and improving market efficiency. A review of the RTEP analysis revealed several areas where enhancements could be made to boost system performance and meet reliability standards. The Board has approved a set of regional solutions that tackle these issues and improve operational effectiveness. The new projects encompass: Transmission line upgrades designed to reduce congestion on critical transmission lines Network expansion in the ATSI zone, which will provide additional capacity and reliability to the region A scope adjustment for an existing project that will enhance its technical merit despite increased costs Total project costs are estimated at $1.563 billion, marginally higher than initially forecast. PJM has taken stakeholder feedback into account during the TEAC meetings when finalizing the approved recommendations. Next Steps: The developers will proceed with more in-depth routing, siting, and consultation work as part of the established regulatory approval process PJM will publish a summary of comments received along with its responses on its website Follow all projects through the process using PJM's Project Status & Cost Allocation page
