We watched the Coded Bias documentary in #mediacrit this week. I’m enjoying the back channel discussions we have in Discord as we watch.
Similar to the AI, in circle time, Simone would rather sit on the hard floor than the carpet because she doesn’t want to get too close. #MediaCrit
At least that’s what this show seems to be portraying, similar to how it’s easy to believe that AI is a better replacement for real everyday things, which so far has been proven to be further from the truth. #MediaCrit

Usage of She vs It pronouns are noticed a lot throughout this episode in reference to the AI.
Perhaps Simone calls the AI "It" because of what the AI has done against her, personally seeing the AI as more monstrous than human. #MediaCrit
“Her” is capitalized. Like a god or a savior? Connections from Mr. Shrodinger to “Her” have organs playing similar to church hymns. #MediaCrit
Usage of “Not Paris” “Obviously” in a timeskip title implies while there’s a lot of action in this, there’s room for silliness. They could have not added those titles in, but I think doing so wouldn’t convey having room for unserious moments as well as high stakes action. #MediaCrit
