A disaster for the Coromandel & conservation as Government Fast Track panel greenlights mining in conservation land, new toxic tailings dams, long tunnels, & another pit at Waihi. This occurred without a hearing, absence of public input, & consent shopping, and absent management plans. #nofasttrack

Excluding the public and experts from decisions and mostly not having hearings is a recipe for environmental disasters. The Amendment is being Fast Tracked and correcting amendments will be rushed with little scrutiny - not a good look for the future. #NoFastTrack
