Picked up a local refurbished #PCEngine Duo-R with RGB-Scart output+Swedish AC adapter so I can keep my Jp duo in storage.
To get it do display on a modern tv, has to go thru a converter box to hdmi but signal comes out crisp at 1080p 60fps. Would be nice if it had a scanline emulation filter.

Veigues Tactical Gladiator will always be one of my favorite games from the 90s. I was really into mecha anime back in the 80s and 90s but finding it in my home town was not easy then. However, I found this game and loved it.

Gave it a quick clean (Dasty) before putting everything back together again. No RGB mod needed as I will mod the CD dock for RGB. Then I remembered I should do the jailbar fix first! Turned it on and don't really notice jailbar, but weren't they more visible with RGB? #pcengine #turbografx16 #PCエンジン
Recapped the #turbografx16. On the PAL TG16 I destroyed a few pads. Most caps are connected on the top on one side. So it is better to heat the pad topside and remove it. Also make sure to suck out the solder on those ads before putting new ones. Will make it easier. #pcengine #PCエンジン
