Forty major air markets are being clipped because air traffic controllers are exhausted and unpaid. Bedford warned that if staffing worsens, more restrictions will follow. The translation was obvious: We’re not crashing airplanes, we’re just canceling your flight until morale improves. “Happy Thanksgiving Travel.” The CDC, TrumPedo’s budget office executed mass firings like a corporate purge scene cut for time. Over 1,300 public health workers were let go in one sweep— pandemic surveillance teams, respiratory disease monitors, even the staff responsible for the nation’s Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report, the publication that tells the country what is actually killing it—maybe hunger was the next public headline. Some of the firings were reversed by the next morning with no explanation beyond a Truth Social post claiming the layoffs never happened. In this government, even unemployment has a propaganda cycle. More likely— their way of shouting/creating a “Fake News Story.” But the real lever wasn’t in the skies or the labs. It was in the grocery aisle. The administration issued a late-night memo instructing states to immediately undo any attempt to give low-income families full SNAP benefits. If states continued helping people eat, the memo warned, they could face penalties or even be forced to fund the program themselves.
