A watercolour painting that I did without a pre-sketch of a Red Cardinal also known as a Northern Cardinal perched on a branch. Feathers are bright red and dark orange with distinctive long dark magenta tail feathers. Beak is a light orange. The feathers stick up on the crown of the bird. Background is a light green-blue.
