Pour alerter sur la disparition en cours des récifs coralliens, les sceurs et artistes Christine et Margaret Wertheim ont imaginé une ceuvre collaborative et évolutive, composée de dizaines de milliers de piéces réalisées au crochet, formant des récifs de corail aux couleurs chatoyantes. Les deux ensembles présentés ici constituent un échantillon de ce vaste projet. Bien que les coraux eux-mémes ne migrent pas car ils vivent fixés sur le récif, leurs larves, elles, peuvent migrer vers des zones plus fraiches, plus loin de I'équateur, pour échapper a des eaux devenues trop chaudes.
