We are currently trapped in a feedback loop that is actively disarming our own movement. By allowing a 'hive mind' to dictate what is 'safe' to say, we have outsourced our thinking to an algorithm of fear. Every time we 'pounce' on a peer for naming a specific group, whether it's defined by faith, race, or gender we aren't being inclusive.
We are being exploitable!
Our silence isn't a shield; it's a target. While we are busy policing each other's tone to avoid
'hurting feelings,' our opponents are surgical.
They are naming these groups, they are targeting these groups, and they are winning because we have made the very people we represent invisible in our own discourse.
Ask yourself: Who benefits when we are too panicked to say a person's name? Not the victim.
Only the attacker. If we continue to prioritize the comfort of the 'process' over the reality of the people, we aren't stewards of awareness we are accomplices to the erasure.
We must decide right now!
Do we want the moral high ground of a silent grave, or do we want the courage to name the people we are sworn to protect?
If I say a group of people is the target of a disinformation campaign and I need you to stop them…
How do I do that if I can’t name the group that’s being targeted? 🤔
Im trying to stop the internet brainwashing effect and I’ve run into a paradox.
This has escaped us for 10 years.
