#ApprovalVoting or #STARVoting would be better. IRV can't solve polarized two-party duopoly, vote-splitting, or the spoiler effect because it's still a zero-sum game just like choose-one voting. Your RCV ballot under IRV still only ever supports a single candidate, just one at a time in turns.
We agree. Early voting and #STARvoting or #RCV should be in place. St. Paul's #RCV is more efficient, time friendly than any #DFL vote, which has #RCV and early votes on it's platform, but doesn't allow it for inner party votes or at endorsement conventions. #NotMeUs #OurRevolution
Score Voting has a strategic incentive to min/max scores—max score your favorite(s), min score everyone else. #ApprovalVoting solves that by, effectively, making every voter use that strategy, whereas #STARVoting solves it by making relative scores count in the runoff round.
