When William’s tomb was opened in 1791, a dead rat was found curled up dead inside his skull. The rat contained arsenic poison. So perhaps the stories were true? 🐀☠️

Weekly Wednesday Wisdom -

We're switching it up this week and not sharing artwork that was created by us; but, images we took that will definitely inspire artworks in the future... We took the dog out for a stroll in the park and saw this really interesting swirl of color where the water had previously run-off during a storm. Due to the sand and variations in the rocks and soil there was this interesting swirl left behind that encompassed several colors, had fun textures, and it just needed to be painted. That was Monday.

We returned to the same park on Tuesday morning and on that stroll we came across dozens more! Each wonderfully unique and beautiful in the way in which the run-off pulled in and/or worked around natural elements, stones, and root material. The photographs being shared today are all from our adventure yesterday and makes one think of this quote from Horace Mann, "Where a love of natural beauty has been cultivated, all nature becomes a stupendous gallery."

Artists's Statement: I'm not sure if a couple of the images I snapped do not already appear in some of the more abstract compositions I've created or if it's just wishful thinking. That being said the colors and textures sucked me in while I was walking and thankfully had time to stop and document these beautiful formations. Some had already been disturbed by shoe prints, animal tracks, and/or bike tires; but, there were so many left undisturbed that it felt like they were left there just for me to discover. Hopefully you take a moment [or several moments] to enjoy all the beauty that surrounds us and appreciate it!
