A large dark brown moose walking across a patch of grass and dandelions. Green trees in the background. Moose ears are slightly back-pointed, but not enough to be a warning. Might be listening for her large son, who is a teenager and as you’d expect a bit of an ass about listening to mom.
The Large Son, Teenage Boy moose. Doing his best impression of Megatherium (they just remind me of artist renditions when the get their big heads pointed straight up as the chow down). He does have little antler nubs, some close to the age where the two of them will probably split up.
Another day, another moose encounter. We think probably mom (walking) & teenage boy (eating). Another summer of caution-is-indicated. Only had a phone cam & safe distance so not as sharp as I’d like.

A young adult moose walks across a farm yard. The moose is a very dark brown, with long legs and a shoulder hump but no obvious horns. In the background, a hedge starting to leaf out. The day is overcast.
The same moose has walked closer to a large pale green grain car and a silver metal tank on an old wooden wagon frame (including wooden wheels with metal fittings and rims). You begin to get an idea of how big even the young ones are when you see them close to large objects - that smaller wagon is 7 or 8 feet tall.
Yard moose, yard moose, ‘tis the season for yard moose. The yard work will need extra caution again this summer! No longer #MoosePotential, it’s moose actual (that one’s for the #uglydogs 😂).

Well, some damned thing bit or stung me yesterday evening. Or at least that's when I started to notice my finger had gone red. The Sharpie marks were in case it was cellulitis and spreading. It didn't, but it's still red this morning. Whitish bump. Any ideas what it was?
