Findings of a significant declining trend in relative abundance of small juveniles and limited numbers of adult females are concerning.

We had all the seasons this week for receiver downloading in Tampa Bay, Terra Ceia Bay, and Manatee River. Felt really bad for the divers on the cold days, but we got some exciting new data for our sawfish, shark, and cownose ray tracking studies!

I blocked off this entire week on my calendar to work on a #sawfishscience manuscript that I had to put on hold last fall when other things required my attention.
Instead we have to deal with Hurricane Helene, and I'm thinking this paper is cursed. 😡
