Taken to dinner at #Norma #SmithSt for my birthday. French food, not top notch but very nice, and a fine environment. Probably better as a casual diner for rich people.

Trip to #Sydney started with a cute sign at #Burnside #SmithSt when getting coffee; alarmed at ‘skytanking’ message as we board the plane 😳; exit seat space - didn’t even have to pay extra for it! And a nice view to welcome us to syn city.

#latergram Dinner at #HotelJesus #SmithSt. The fit-out is still fabulous; the food, while very nice, wasn’t as stand-out as I remembered from years ago; and apparently it’s just changed ownership. But still as popular as ever!

A repurposed shop now containing a n old Photobooth and a vending machine. The shop’s black and white check lino floor dominates.
In a closed shop at the unfashionable end of #SmithSt an old photo booth has been placed, with a film & camera vending machine. And it’s a hit! I took this pic on the only evening that I’ve been past when there weren’t people in the shopfront…

Saturday night out: #LaBohemia, new Chilean eatery on #SmithSt - lovely food and friendly service, despite the understaffing problem. The food leans more towards the ‘comfort’ end of the spectrum, and more Chilean patrons kept arriving!

#latergram #VictoriasPride Street Party for #Midsumma: wandered up and down #SmithSt, #GertrudeSt & #PeelSt. We had plenty of pitstops (lunch, drinks, intro to Auslan) and retired just after 6pm.
