#Sortition means selecting citizens by lot, like jury service, to serve in a chamber such as the new House of Lords. It breaks patronage, widens representation, and brings lived experience into lawmaking. Less career politics, more grounded scrutiny.
And right now, a lot of people aren’t just asking for better outcomes.
They’re asking whether the game itself is fair.
The answer is change democracy, #Proportional representation, #Sortition and #compulsoryvoting would change that completely.

I prefer to think that the govt needs to manage itself better to meet public expectations.
We are the bosses and if this or any other govt is suboptimal then they need to go.

Part of the problem is what personalities are driven to seek power. There is the idea that those who seek power are least fit to receive it.
