Something I thought a lot about, too, as I was finishing up #TheSovereign. It couldn’t just be X wins or X loses, because it’s all so much more complicated than that. In short stories, I call this a moment of aperture, which I stole from S.
I’ve also seen the final cover for #TheSovereign —Tommy Arnold knocked it out of the park. It meets the promise of the first two and surpasses them. It’s also gayer than both of them, which, I know!!, seems like it should be impossible.
