Tomlin steps down, not expected to coach in '26 Mike Tomlin has stepped down as Steelers coach, ending a 19-year run in Pittsburgh during which he never had a losing season.

I began watching the NFL at 9 years old in 1970. Since then the #Steelers have only had 3 coaches.

That's 3 coaches in 55 years.

Thanks Mike #Tomlin for 19 years. It was time for a change- he's changed coordinators, QBs, and WRs many times since 2020 to get the same results- but he also kept the team competitive longer than it had any right to be.

It's time for a total franchise reset. Tank next year and find a QB1.
