Internet rumor about arrested Texas flood rescuer is AI-enabled fabrication A dramatic story of a 42-year-old man named "Deshawn Miller" using his boat to rescue elderly victims of the floods that swept through Texas July 4, 2025 is spreading across platforms, but it is a fake tale illustrated by AI-generated images. Kerr County jail records show no related booking information, and the TikTok user who first shared the anecdote labeled the supposed photos as created using artificial intelligence and confirmed to AFP that the entire story was fabricated.
