Spending an enjoyable couple of days with #UKCEH colleagues in Wallingford, UK. I went to see the #flood state of the #RiverThames at lunchtime... #water everywhere. This is 0.5 m below the peak last week, and 1 m below the record peak last January.

At #UKCEH there are so many impressive and lovely colleagues (I have only met a small fraction of the 700+; that does not include the 200+ PhD students). One of the special ones is Linda May who leads the FRS group. Here is Brian making Linda laugh at his selfies from their South America trip.

Another reason I joined #UKCEH was the excellent work of Gordon and Matt (who I have been fortunate to know for over 10 years) to continually improve our digital capacity and excellent env monitoring, to help raise awareness and improve situations. Here is the talented Gordon with his #FAIR cards.
Well done to Stu and #UKCEH team for launching our strategy to:
-build resilience in a changing climate
-enhance ecosystem and human health
-restore biodiversity for a sustainable future.
We need to work collectively to help raise awareness and improve the current situations we all face.
One reason I joined #UKCEH was their impressive work (with many other individuals + organisations) to improve the quality, access, and use of information about the UK's (and world's) water resources (and ecology). A bit like turning on a water tap in the UK, the 'how' detail is not always obvious.
